A web-based graphic essay accompanying the publication of the groundbreaking paper "Global human-made mass exceeds all living biomass" by Ron Milo’s lab of the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences in the Weizmann Institute of Science.
The paper, published December 2020 in Nature journal, proves that the amount of man-made stuff on earth has surpassed the amount of all living things.

The mission was to translate a complex scientific concept into clear, concise, and engaging communication.
Arranging the different materials into categories based on their shapes and colors allowed for visual comparisons to be made.
The visual language has been inspired by Otto Neurath and Gerd Arntz's ISOTYPE infographic language
